Installing and Uninstalling PowerChute Business Edition on
Windows Server 2008 Server Core


Note:  The Server and Console compenents of PowerChute Business Edition 
cannot be installed to Windows Server 2008 Server Core. You can only 
install the Agent component to that operating system.

Installing

You can install from the the APC Web site or from the CD. See A. and B. 
below.

A. 
From the APC Web site, download "pcbesetup.exe" to a non-Server Core 
version of Windows. Copy the file to a temporary directory on the Server 
Core machine. 

In the command prompt window, go to the temporary directory and run 
"pcbesetup.exe" by typing its name and pressing Enter.
For example, 
 cd \temp
 pcbesetup

B.
If you are installing from a CD, in the command prompt window, go to the 
Windows directory on the CD drive, and run "setup.exe".
For example,
 F:
 cd \Windows
 setup

Uninstalling

In the command prompt window, go to the PCBE installation directory and 
run "UninstallAgent.bat".
For example,
 cd "\Program Files\APC\PowerChute Business Edition"
 UninstallAgent
